As new children, dirty and dressed in old clothes, step softly up the aisle of the church, it never fails to break my heart. When they finally chance a look at the people around them, their sad little faces seem to be wondering, "why?" "Why are you leaving me here?" "Will these new people hurt me?" Many of them have left a mother or a father behind as well as siblings. Yesterday, 5 such faces appeared in our Children's Home. This will be a tough week for these young ones. Will you pray for them? Pray that they will adapt to their environment quickly and that they will come to know Jesus' saving grace and ultimate comfort.
We now have 20 children! The fifteen previous children were equally solemn on their first day, but take a look at them now, and you will see that they are well adapted children. We were even able to coax a few smiles out of the newest additions.
