Tickets Purchased. Visa Application Complete. India here we come!

We purchased our tickets last week!  There is only one stop in London on the way there, and one on the way back.  This is ideal and it's awesome because it ended up being the cheapest tickets (and several hundred less than we anticipated!).  Praise God!  I'm sending in our visa applications today (God-willing), and then there are only a few more things to be worked out!  Kai and I will be traveling to Ohio next week to see my grandma.  She is very ill and prayers are coveted.  From there, we have our orientation with Commission to Every Nation in early June and leave June 28th for India!  I have a feeling that this time is going to go quickly.  We are excited but sadness is starting to creep in as the reality of leaving friends and family for so long becomes obvious.  I am also afraid that this trip to Ohio will be the last I see of my grandmother.  She is the only grandmother I have left and I have always been so close to her.  So as the reality of life pervades our idealism, please pray that we will endure the challenges of life while acknowledging Jesus as our light and our hope. 

"Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
