We're still here!

Kai's first drawing (I wrote "red")

The big day had finally arrived.  We actually left the house on time!  Carting 5 suitcases, 5 carry-ons, a carseat, a stroller, and a baby into the airport (with the help of our good friend, Karen Legatt), we finally made it to the check-in desk.  "Your flight has been delayed."  Not what we expected to hear, but there it was.  On the verge of tears, I listened to the woman tell us that our new flight was on Thursday at the same time.  It had taken so long to get everything ready to go and we had already said our goodbyes!

So after a couple hours of feeling sorry for myself, I felt better.  It was His will and we will pack up tomorrow and leave for the airport again (God-willing!).  When we contacted the Palamootil Family, they said that this would work out better and my sister actually said this was an answer to prayer because she could tell I was really tired.  Kai did not sleep well last night and I can't imagine how it would have been on the plane!  I think his teeth were bothering him.  So, I give in.  I already gave you my life, Lord, but take my plans as well.  Do with them what you will.

In other news, we moved out of our condo and have been living with my parents for the last few days before we leave for India.  It went smoothly, but only because we had so many people help us move!  My parents helped A TON!  Cheryl and Benj Wegert, Kayla Jones, and Ben and Dani Luker all helped us tremendously!  They spent hours helping us box things up, take them to a storage unit, mop, dust, clean out a nasty stove/oven, clean bathrooms.  We seriously would not have made the deadline without you and we thank you for it!  So here are some moving pics.  Enjoy!

soli deo gloria (translation=to God Alone be the Glory) it is a borrowed phrase from my pastor in cali, but it helps me keep life in perspective in the rough patches, oi, my apologies as i'd not intended to give a sermon, so learn lots, and u guys will be in my thoughts and prayers as u go. now for real i'm signing off as there is still soo much i've yet to do... time to play catch up. late... isa.41,44&gen1-3
